Your tutorial is nice and useful!
However I did exactly your instructions but I receive this error:
[2011-04-15 13:41:17.207] TCP Connection(2)-127.0.0.1 Starting bundle ‘GreeterUI’ version ’1.0.0′.
[2011-04-15 13:41:17.431] Thread-7 Application context creation failure for bundle ‘GreeterUI’ version ’1.0.0′. org.springframework.beans.factory.parsing.BeanDefinitionParsingException: Configuration problem: Unable to locate Spring NamespaceHandler for XML schema namespace [http://www.springframework.org/schema/osgi]
Offending resource: URL [bundleentry://70.fwk116689/META-INF/spring/bundle-context-osgi.xml]

I use exactly your bundle-context-osgi.xml file with the beginning like that: “ My server is Virgo 2.10.

Do you have a idea to solve my problem?

hello guy, I am following the above tutorial I have followed every step properly and bundles are compiled withour erroe I deployed the on DMserver and started it while starting it gives me this error I am new to spring I only followed the steps mentioned above.

Error:
server-dm-13 Application context creation failure for bundle ‘ServiceUser043′.
server-dm-13 The property value ‘com.waqarTestBundle.helloprovider.HelloProvider043′, specified in the definition of bean ‘greeter’, could not be converted to the required type ‘class [Ljava.lang.Class;’.

any help will be appriciateable.

I still got 404 error. It seems that both of the xml files ,including bundle-context-ogsi.xml and greeter-servlet.xml didn’t work. Would you please send me a copy of your demo code for reference please?

Thank you very much for this very good tutorial. The first one that really worked straightaway.
Only the thing with the MVC in JSP is a little bit complex for the first step with SDM.

Hi Martin,

do you have any errors in Eclipse while developing? Normally unsatisfied dependencies already show up here… Also: Did you specify an exported version for com.martin.dmserver.test?

Hello Rob,

when deplyong the app i get this error.

Cannot resolve: com.greeter.ui
Unsatisfied leaf constraints:
Bundle: com.greeter.ui_1.0.0 – Import-Package: com.martin.dmserver.test; version=”[1.0.0,1.0.0]”
Did you mean: ‘org.aspectj.weaver.ast’?

I have exported the package with the interface and imported it in the web bundle..

Any ideas what causes this

Hi Rob,

the 404 message suggests that you pointed your browser to /greeter/WEB-INF/jsp/greetings.jsp. You need to open it to /greeter/index.htm. If you did that, I don’t know why you’re getting that message, sorry.
